Bio

With over 13 years of cycling experience, Sherri has demonstrated endless drive, determination and commitment resulting in several podium wins and Provincial titles. Her passion for cycling led her to help grow the sport by creating a women’s specific team in Calgary, focusing on the development of Masters (30+) riders. Her leadership skills guided riders to learn tactics, group confidence, physical fitness, and overall fun. This resulted in a top 10 team win for the Alberta Road Cup in their inaugural year!

Sherri holds a Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary, is a certified AFLCA instructor and is completing her NCCP in Cycling. Her mission is to share her passion for the bike through coaching and inspire others to reach their goals.  "Work hard, stay humble" is her coaching philosophy.

Sherri’s greatest accomplishment of all is being able to balance being a coach and competitive cyclist while raising two beautiful, active girls.  Having fun is a gift and sharing that with her family is exciting.

Last year Sherri picked up a mountain bike for the first time after she received a lottery slot into the Leadville 100 Mountain Bike race. Her restructuring of training was in full force, resulting in being 1 of the 100 women to finish under the 12 hour cut off.  And so begins a new chapter on two wheels…
